Should I Be Concerned About This?

Lately, I have found myself saying more than usual “Lori, should I be concerned or anxious about this? Be anxious for NOTHING Lori! And nothing means NOTHING!” And then I smile with relief. Thank you Jesus for taking the matter so that I DON’T have to!

Humm, surely this matter is something I should “care” about and take on emotionally. After all it’s a serious sickness or situation that my loved one or friend is going through. What kind of mate or friend am I if I’m not “concerned”. This is life or death. This is the worst thing that could possibly happen. This is ……..

Philippians 4:6-9 is a life saver for sure. I have been reading either just a verse or all four every day now for a while. Whenever there is a matter that arises and you feel the need to worry, get the Living Word out and read exactly how and what the Lord wants you to do about the situation.

How does the Lord want you to handle the situation? Good news, he doesn’t want you to handle it. He wants to. Read the awesome four verses over and over until they become your resting place.

Philippians 4:6-9 TPT

“Don’t be pulled in different directions or worried about a thing. Be saturated in prayer throughout each day, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude. Tell him every detail of your life, then God’s wonderful peace that transcends human understanding, will make the answers known to you through Jesus Christ. So keep your thoughts continually fixed on all that is authentic and real, honorable and admirable, beautiful and respectful, pure and holy, merciful and kind. And fasten your thoughts on every glorious work of God, praising him always. Follow the example of all that we have imparted to you and the God of peace will be with you in all things.”

Enjoy the peace,

Lori Rola
